Who’s behind the tools at HURST® Jaws of Life? It’s strategic planners, organizers and administrators like Tina Freemon.

With more than 11 years of human resources experience, Tina brings direction, leadership and commitment to the team. For the past year and a half, Tina has worked as the human resources manager for HURST Jaws of Life, coordinating and recruiting day in and day out.

“I love helping people feel good about themselves and the job they’re doing,” she said. “If they are having a good experience at work, surrounded by a great team and a positive environment, they can stay focused on business. That’s important in any workplace, but here at HURST Jaws of Life where our business is saving lives, it’s critical.”

Tina also is a certified facilitator with Development Dimensions International, a global human resources consulting firm that builds leaders to help organizations meet business goals, allowing her to constantly learn her trade, but also continually put what she’s learned to work.

“My job gives me the chance to help people, personally and professionally,” Tina said. “The team players here at HURST make it easier to do my job to the best of my ability.”

Tina got bitten by the human resources bug at a young age and is following in the footsteps of her mother, who had a human resources management role at a manufacturing facility. In pursuit of a human resources career, Tina served as her mother's assistant while attending Lake Forest College in Illinois. After earning her bachelor’s degree in business and Spanish, Tina kicked off her career in HR and 10 years later moved from Chicagoland to work at HURST headquarters in Shelby, North Carolina.

Tina’s not afraid to admit she was thrilled to trade in her snow shovel for warm weather and southern hospitality. Here in North Carolina, she enjoys cheering for Charlotte sports teams and hiking with her bulldog.
