Who’s behind the tools at HURST® Jaws of Life? It’s customer service specialists like Tina Rippy.

Tina joined HURST nearly a year ago, bringing with her a decade of manufacturing experience and customer care. She began carving her path at Cleveland Community College, where she earned her associate degree in science industrial management technology. With a newfound interest in computer systems, she continued her education at Limestone College and received her Bachelor of Science in business administration/computer software applications.

Tina’s combined industrial knowledge, technology experience and passion for helping others in the workplace makes her a perfect fit for the customer service field. She worked with Polydeck Screen Corporation as a customer service representative for six years before joining the HURST team.

Today, Tina provides support for HURST dealers in North America from HURST Jaws of Life’s headquarters in Shelby, North Carolina. She ensures customers and end users have the equipment and information they need to do their jobs.

“I like to help people. It’s what I’ve always liked to do,” Tina said. “Years ago, when my older sister ran head-on into a tree, HURST Jaws of Life were used to save her life. If they hadn’t been able to extract her quickly and airlift her, she probably wouldn’t be here today.

“So for me, it’s personal, and I jumped at the chance to work here.

When the weather is nice, you’ll find Tina riding her Harley-Davidson on scenic back roads with her husband. Once a year, they trade their motorcycles for a camper and take a road trip to the beach. With her two sons finally out of the house, she’s enjoying her free time by kicking back and relaxing on the weekends.

Whether Tina is behind the tools or behind the handlebars, she’s smiling and finding the best in every situation.
